How do I configure OCS to write out the transactions to a database?
Answer: While most of the data is stored in proprietary data files, OCS can also output transaction data to a Microsoft Access database. This information can be accessed with any compliant reader (e.g. MS Access, Crystal Reports). To configure OCS to output data in the Access format, do the following: Step 1: Using Explorer, or something similar, run SETUP.EXE from the OCSPROG\CDUSR directory. Step 2: Choose the “Setup MDB for Transactions” button. Step 3: At the next screen, choose “OK” A system DSN must be installed in order for the data to be written. Step 4: Stop and restart the OCS service. |
