Step 1: Open Windows Explorer Step 2: Go to “Tools” Step 3: Go to “Folder Options” Step 4: Go to the “View” tab and uncheck “Use simple file Sharing (Recommended)” Step 5: Go to your OCS directory and right-click. Select Properties. Step 6: Go to the “Security” tab and then click the "Advanced” button Step 7: Here we want to ensure that the Inherited From column specifies <Not inherited> and that we check the box “Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries show here that apply to child objects.” Step 8: Click Apply and then when prompted, click Yes. XP Firewall Settings When installing the OCS Client on XP professional, it is necessary to either disable the Firewall that comes enabled as of SP2 or create an exception.
