Download DocumentDevice Configuration and TestsOCS uses a utility called TCRU to access the payment device. The window below facilitates the installation, configuration, testing and debugging of the connected device. Reader Type - Displays the Reader Manufacture.Status - Displays the install status of the TCRU client.Install/Reinstall - You will be prompted to select the reader manufacturer. Re-installing removes all previous configurations. General Prompts - This button will only be displayed if the installed device requires a password. Press the button to enter the required reader password.Operating Parameters and Tests - The card reader you are using determines the appearance of this screen. Some of the buttons may not be applicable to your reader type and therefore not displayed.Testing a Coin-Op Reader:Step 1: Select the COM port to which it is attached. Step 2: Select the type of device attached. Note that the device will not operate and the system may hang if the incorrect series number is selected. Step 3: Insert money or card Utilities:TCRU includes debugging tools in the event of problems with an installation.
It is recommended that all OCS tracing be left off until otherwise instructed to do so by an OCS representative. Once the required data files are generated and delivered to OCS, the tracing must be turned off and the generated files deleted.
